About Council
Moorabool Shire Council is a progressive organisation that is experiencing rapid growth and surging development. We offer a perfect blend of picturesque and friendly surrounds where you can enjoy an urban lifestyle in towns like Bacchus Marsh or take advantage of Moorabool’s smaller towns and hamlets, rural open spaces and natural surrounds.
Our focus is on building a healthy, inclusive and connected community; a liveable and thriving environment and an organisation that listens and adapts to the need of our evolving communities.
The Role
This position will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of a place-based prevention initiative that empowers young people to have a voice in the decisions that affect them and supports stronger, more connected communities.
Funded through the VicHealth Partners in Place Initiative, this role will work collaboratively with young people, schools, community organisations, health services and Council to co-design initiatives that respond to local needs. The project focuses on strengthening preventative mental health capabilities and social connection for the middle years cohort.
