The Role
Step into this newly developed role where you’ll work at the heart of the community partnering with local residents, emergency services and support agencies to deliver impactful emergency preparedness education and build real-world resilience. As an Emergency Engagement and Resilience Officer, you’ll lead meaningful community conversations, design and deliver engaging workshops and initiatives and empower people to plan, prepare and respond confidently to emergencies when it matters most.
The successful person may be required to work outside hours or across weekends when engagement activities may be scheduled.

About You
You will bring proven experience in community engagement and emergency management, with the ability to design and deliver effective preparedness programs that build community resilience. You work confidently with diverse stakeholders, including emergency services and community groups and communicate complex information clearly and practically. As someone who is highly organised and proactive, you will also have strong project management skills, a solid understanding of emergency management frameworks and the ability to deliver impactful outcomes in a dynamic environment
