The Role
The Project Manager – Storm Recovery Officer will play a key role in supporting Moorabool Shire Council’s recovery efforts following the February 2024 storms. This position is responsible for coordinating recovery activities, managing contractors and suppliers, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the efficient delivery of recovery outcomes. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping restore vital infrastructure and supporting the resilience of the local community.

About You
You are a proactive and adaptable professional with qualifications in arboriculture and/or horticulture, or equivalent experience. You will have a strong background in project management within the context of asset recovery and maintenance. You have demonstrated skills in coordinating complex projects, managing contractors, and maintaining accurate records, all while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills enable you to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including community members, contractors, and internal teams. A current Victorian Driver’s Licence and Construction Induction (White Card) are essential, and experience in local government will be highly regarded.
