Join Moorabool Shire Council as a Project Officer – Waste Transition and play a key role in driving our community towards a more sustainable future. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the implementation of our new household waste and recycling initiatives, including the transition to a standardised four-stream collection system. Working closely with internal teams, contractors, and the community, you’ll manage projects, develop education and engagement strategies, and ensure smooth service delivery. This position is ideal for a proactive communicator with strong project management skills and a passion for environmental sustainability.

About You
In this role, you’ll draw on your skills and experience in waste management, environmental science, communications, or a related field. You have a proven ability to manage projects from planning to delivery, with excellent organisational skills to meet deadlines and achieve results. A natural communicator, you excel at building strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and are confident in engaging the community through workshops, presentations, and educational campaigns. Experience with Outlook, CRMS, Content+ and Finance One will ensure you hit the ground running.
