The Role

As a Library Officer – Programs, you’ll be the behind-the-scenes hero and on-the-ground support for our library events and activities. From setting up story time sessions to helping run tech workshops and community events, you’ll ensure every program runs smoothly and leaves a lasting impression. You’ll also assist with customer service at the circulation desk, help maintain our collections, and contribute to the welcoming atmosphere of our library spaces.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a team environment, and takes pride in creating inclusive, engaging experiences for all ages. You may be rostered to work across any one of Council's Libraries with hours ranging from Monday to Saturday. Additional hours may be offered from time to time.

About You

You will be providing direct support to the team to set up and pack down programs so strong knowledge and understanding of the role of public library programs in the community is essential. You’re a community-minded individual with a passion for delivering engaging programs that bring people together. With a strong background in customer service and excellent communication skills, you thrive in team environments and enjoy helping others. 

A current Victorian Driver’s Licence and Working With Children Check round out your readiness to support our vibrant library programs.
