The Role

This position focuses on community emergency management with emergency management planning and the role of the Municipal Recovery Manager included.

In this position you will work with the Emergency Management Coordinator to prepare, respond, provide relief and recovery for communities affected by emergency and disasters.

About You

To be successful in this role you have previous experience in Municipal Recovery Management and Emergency Management or a related discipline.

You will be able to demonstrate substantial  experience in emergency management, community recovery, working with vulnerable clients, working with non-profit organisations, including community relief and recovery issues, across a broad range of natural disasters.

You will also have a strong focus on developing and delivering high standard customer service in a timely manner, including well developed skills in negotiating and conflict resolution with the ability to deal with difficult situations and present a positive Council image.
