Job Description

About the role

The Library Service Team is an enthusiastic team, delivering community needs and facilitating community connection through a range of activities, programs and services. 

The successful individuals will work within library policies and procedures to provide timely, accurate and customer-focused services. You will deliver excellent quality customer service at the circulation desk, assist in collection maintenance, library programs and in the professional presentation of library facilities and be responsible for the provision of excellent customer service to the Moorabool community.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

In order to be successful in the position,  you will require a  minimum of Year 10 education and previous experience in a customer service environment.

Ideally you will have a strong understanding of the role of public libraries in the community and an understanding of the need for library guidelines, policies, and procedures and the ability to work in accordance with them. 

Your customer service skills and abilities will be outstanding with a strong focus on developing and delivering high standard customer service in a timely manner.  You will posses highly developed communication skills (written & verbal) with the ability to develop strong working relationships both internally and externally. 

In addition, you will also have sound ICT skills and knowledge of MS Office Software and portable devices, with the ability to troubleshoot low level IT issues at a local level.

As this role may deliver services throughout our community you will also require a  current Victorian Driver’s Licence and working in the Library environment, a current Working with Children Check (employment type).
