About the role

Moorabool Shire offers an exciting and challenging career opportunity for a dynamic person to be part of the Community Planning and Development directorate in the key role of Executive Assistant to the Executive Manager. The role provides administrative and logistical support to the Executive Manager liaising directly with Councillors, the CEO’s Office, Executive Leadership Group, community and government agencies. 

The Directorate is very diverse and has a range of functions, which includes several statutory related functions that requires a general understanding of statutory processes, systems and risk. The Directorate is also fast paced and has a high level of community interaction and a high volume of enquiries which requires effective and user-friendly communication and quick turnaround times. The team requires a person that thrives in a work environment that fosters a culture of creativity, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you

You will have extensive experience in providing high level executive support, preferably in Local Government, together with excellent computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet applications and database management.

The successful applicant will also have an ability to prepare reports, correspondence, minutes, media releases and present research findings, and possess well-developed communication and customer service skills, with an ability to deal with a broad range of internal and external customers.
