About the role

As the Manager of Governance and Civic Support, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the highest standards of governance and accountability across the Shire. You will be responsible for overseeing the management of Council's organisational compliance responsibilities, you will lead by example to support the organisation to deliver its program and services with a strong commitment to the principles of Good Governance in a public sector environment.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you

You will have a tertiary qualification in business, governance or relevant related qualifications with management experience in a governance position in the public or private sectors.

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record of successful leadership in a context of fast paced change, a proven understanding of the Local Government Act and its interpretation and application, and established and strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
