About the role
As the Coordinator Public Health, you will help protect public health within our communities through monitoring, educating and achieving compliance of public health standards. This role will focus on leading the statutory functions of the Public Health Team under the Food Act 1984, Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008, Environment Protection Act 2017, Tobacco Act 1987 and other legislated or general tasks related to the position.

Desired Skills and Experience
About you
You will have completed a tertiary qualification in environmental health, environmental science, public health or environmental management or diploma in a similar field with several years of subsequent relevant experience.
The successful applicant will also have extensive knowledge and understanding of State and Local legislation, together with an ability to supervise, motivate and develop staff.
Ideally you will have flexibility in approach, an ability to think laterally and apply innovative practices to satisfy the needs of changing circumstances.
